Hi, i saw the tutorial jam post and i wanted to add a tutorial on things i know. One of them is how i do hair. I noticed one of the things that stood out in my art was hair. I hope i made the explanation as understandable as possibile. Here's how i do it:

The supplies i choose are cheap, you can use a bic pen or a toma pen. Both are pretty good. I mostly draw with ballpoint pens

You can draw on anything (notebook, sketchbook) the paper quality doesn't really matter

First you need to sketch out the hair

You need to mark your highlights, add these lines to where the light hits and make sure to not cover the area with the ink.

Put more pressure on the pen and ink the hair. Pay attention to the sketch and leave out some of the white lines so the hair will have more depth to them.

After that gently go over the highlights and mute them. You can make the highlights stronger or weaker depends on the pressure you put on the pen.

Add some hair strands. You can add as much as you'd like.

That's how i draw black hair, there's still a bit more i wanna talk about.

Here's how i draw white hair it's a bit different.

Sketch

Outline the sketch, the lineart can look however you want.

Now gently shade the hair and leave out some blank space so that it looks like a highlight.

Curly hair can be hard to get right at first but here's how i do it:

The sketch has to be different, i use the shape of a spring.

I shade along the sketch and leave a blank space where the light hits the hair.
